Kam's Hero Tiles
A downloadable asset pack
Kam's Hero Tiles is a hexagonal tileset meant to recreate the environmental look of the old Heroscape board game. The pack was built to be used with the Hex Kit utility. The pack was built for the purpose of building maps for the LANCER Role-Playing game.
What's inside?
- 9 environmental tiles
- 9 environmental topper tiles
- 7 "Plastic" colored tiles
- 3 Road tiles
- 3 Levels of "raise" tiles meant to display differing heights (Good for Games like Lancer or MechWarrior)
- 2 Tiles for displaying cover (Good for Lancer).
- 10 numbered tiles.
And hey, these are free to use however you'd like. All I ask is that if you make a map using this tileset to include an image of it down below. I'd love to see what you all manage to make with this.
FAQ
Will these work with both Vertical and Horizontal Hexes?
- This kit was built for vertical hexes as that was Hex Kit's default. However Hex Kit now supports Horizontal hexes which is automatically applied to this pack when selected. The only odd hexes are the text overlays which will display slightly rotated. Otherwise, this pack will work in both vertical and horizontal orientations.
What the dimensions of each hex?
- Including whitespace the hexes are 330x330px. Cropped down they are roughly 271x303px
The hexes you have here are cool, but it would be cooler if you had "x" hex types. Can you add this to the pack?
- Maybe. Comment below if there are any other types of hex styles you would like added. If its cool enough idea I'll look into adding it.

I really like these and think that Heroscape is the bee's knees. Is there any way you could format them to be a single sheet and without extra space around them, so I could use them in Tiled?
