CONSUME CODE: A Lancer One-Shot
A downloadable game
The Mirrorsmoke Mercenary Company has begun its rollout of a new simulation training lab it calls the, "Virtual Combat Training Room" or ViCTR for short. It is a state-of-the-art training room capable of taking real-world combat data and recreating it within the simulation. This allows pilots of all kinds to safely study and train through all kinds of real-world combat encounters.
But maybe its not as safe as we thought...
Welcome to Consume Code, our entry for the Lancer One-Shot Module Jam! This one-shot is meant to teach some basic mechanics to players and end with a high concept boss fight to get them excited about the mechanics of Lancer. Our goal was to make something approachable yet challenging in hopes of making a tool to introduce new players to Lancer and growing the hobby. The combat encounters are fun and engaging, and the boss battle at the end with the Leviathan offers an exciting and unique experience that can also be repurposed for a boss fight in another campaign. As players and GM’s who have been enjoying Lancer for a few years now, we are excited to finally give back to the community.
Inside you will find
- A 9 page pdf of the adventure and combat.
- A new NPC Class, "The LEVIATHAN". An enemy that changes itself AND the environment throughout the fight!
- Custom made maps for each combat encounter.
- Custom made tokens for the LEVIATHAN boss encounter.
- An .lcp file compatible with COMP/CON and FoundryVTT.

Hi! I think that this one shot is awesome and was wondering to ask how I'd be able to convert the map to hexagons on FoundryVTT (as the map seems to be formatted in a square grid).
Thanks in advance.
Good question! The sprite pack I made for the maps is meant to imply a square grid (going for that virtual reality mission feel). But hex wise is gonna need to be eyeballed. You’ll want the hexes to be about the same size as the squares. But if you want it to be as close as possible here are the explicit measurements of the maps:
Combat1 is 31x31 tiles.
Combat2 is 32x32 tiles.
Combat3 is 35x35 tiles.
Getting your hex grid close to those heights/widths should get you close.
Thank you very much for your help, I highly appreciate it! I'm about to try it out now.
hi, I've played your module whit my players ,cool stuff man . I wanted to ad a voice acted intro audio file to your module as an introduction to add some immersion. Also I think that adding a random selection motive for brighing the group togheter would be nice. what do you think?
I’m stoked you thought it was cool! I talked with the team and we agree a voice acted intro would be dope, if only for the flair. Maybe for the next module.
We hadn’t considered a “why are we here together” generator but I think that would be fantastic. Can’t say it’s something we’ll add to this release, but it would be cool for future modules : )
Ran this as an intro one shot to teach new players the system , and it worked amazingly! Good mix of encounters and sitreps to give an overview of how things work.
Bless! Thank you! I’m super stoked you liked it and had a good time running it!
